Ending my 2018 year with a bang is exactly what happened.
Anthony and Monique said “I Do” on New Year’s Eve in front of many family and friends. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Noah’s Event Space in Overland Park, KS.
In my 28 years in business, believe it or not, this was my second wedding that I have photographed on New Year’s Eve. The first was in 2016 with Jonathan and Meghan at Abe’s & Jakes in Lawrence, KS. All I can hope is that I have future opportunities in the future because I love it.
What also made this wedding so special is that I found out after meeting Anthony and Monique that he is related to the King and Dewberry families - families who I grew up with at Eight Street Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. So much so that I’ve lots of work for both sides of the family. Talk about a small world. The other reason is because Monique’s mother is a seamstress by trade and she made her wedding dress as well as Anthony’s wardrobe. I was very, very impressed. Job well done “mom”.
The reception was AWESOME! Everyone and I mean Everyone was on the dance floor. What better way to celebrate a wedding and bring in the new year?! Kudos to the LC3 Entertainment for keeping everyone hype.
